I have been very busy lately doing a number of things. I was able to launch two of my three model rockets last weekend. The first launch was successful with a chute deployment and recovery. The second launch was also successful with a chute deploy but unfortunately due to high winds the rocket ended up in another county. I did not launch my third rocket for fear of a similar fate.
The weather has been crazy here for a while now with lows in the 20’s and highs near 70 on some days. I don’t know if we will have snow on the ground by Christmas or whether I will need to wear sunblock. I have been itching to shoot my shotgun again and I have convinced Teresa to go with me sometime this week and shoot the shotgun at the indoor range in Lynnhaven. The Christmas tree is up and decorated and it is surrounded by many gifts. Teresa bought Dana a 32″ Samsung HDTV for Christmas. I didn’t think it was a good idea to get something so expensive but Teresa really wants to spoil Dana this Christmas.
I have been working on my blog more than usual and I am starting to see an increased readership. I have had a lot to blog about and I get a lot of readers for my blog from people who follow me on Twitter. I must say that I find Twitter to be somewhat addictive and I find myself having to force myself to limit my time on it. When I am not on Twitter or working on my blog my time is split between reading, watching an Economics class on DVD, walking Max and listening to podcasts. I am seldom bored and in fact I often do not have enough time to do all the things I want to do now that I am retired.
We should have a very good Christmas this year as it has been a very good year for us so far. I hope 2009 will be even better. That’s it for now.
One of the secrets of happiness is having something to do. Looks like you have plenty to do.
